About background tools
Each background tool starts the same way: an AI segmentation model finds the main subject of your photo, such as a person, product or pet, and separates it from everything behind it. What changes is what goes behind the subject afterwards.
Remove Image Background and Make Background Transparent give you a cut-out on transparent pixels, downloadable as PNG or WebP. White Background Maker places the subject on pure white for product listings and documents. Change Background Color lets you pick any solid colour, Replace Background offers four soft studio tones, and Blur Background keeps the subject sharp while softening the original scene, much like a portrait mode.
Results are best with one clear subject, good light and a background that differs from it. Fine hair, fur, glass and see-through fabric are hard for any automatic tool and can show small halos or gaps, so check the edges at full size. There is no manual brush; for a tricky image, a cleaner source photo usually helps most.
