About color tools

Color tools answer two kinds of question about an image. The first is about one exact spot: what is the code for the blue in this logo or the green in this photo? The Image Color Picker and HEX/RGB Color Picker let you hover over the image, click a pixel and copy its value as HEX, RGB or HSL.

The second is about the image as a whole. Extract Colors from Image, Generate Color Palette and Dominant Color Finder group similar pixels into 4 to 12 representative colors, sort them by how much of the picture each covers and mark the dominant one. The whole set can be copied as CSS custom properties, ready for a stylesheet or a design system, and transparent areas are ignored so logos give clean results.

Color Inverter goes the other way and changes the image itself, turning it into a full or partial negative with a slider, inside the same editor used for cropping and adjustments.
